This apartment community will occupy a 11.5 acre site. A combination of 1 and 2 bedroom units make up the 184 unit, 9 building community. The floor plans and building mix are designed to appeal to both senior or graduate students as well as local work force. Over the years, a combination of lack of suitable land and strict regulations on development have created a very strong demand for both student and conventional apartments in the local housing market. The land acquired for the project is likely the last buildable location in Boone.

Prominently located on Highway 421 which is the main entry/exit to Boone, the community provides high visibility and easy access. Within walking distance are Hardin Elementary, Watauga High School and New Market Shopping Center anchored by Lowe's Foods and Regal Cinemas. Appalachian State University is 1.4 miles away and there is a campus bus stop at the entrance of the community.

Each of the 184 apartment units will feature a privately accessible patio/balcony, ample storage, and open kitchen with energy efficient appliances including oven/range, built-in microwave, refrigerator, disposal and dishwasher. Site amenities will include a clubhouse with business center, coffee bar, pool table, a fully appointed 24-hours fitness center, dog wash, car care cente, hiking trail, a monitored entrance and a large outdoor patio with fireplace, sun deck and cooking area.

At the foot of Blue Ridge Mountains and about an hour drive from the famous Smoky Mountain National Park, Boone is recognized as an "ultimate outdoor adventure destination" in the Southeast and was named the top 10 best place to retire by US News in 2012.

This project is developed and sponsored by Burkley Communities and Real Summit.
